A HUSBAND and wife who died following a road accident at Laneast Downs on Tuesday, March 18, are believed to have been in collision with a wild deer. Police were called to the unclassified road, between Pipers Pool and Kennards House at around 6.15pm. The single vehicle collision involved a black Piaggio moto-rcycle carrying a male driver and female pillion passenger. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman received serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, where she later died. Police have named the couple as husband and wife — Keith Courtney aged 41 years and Anna Courtney-Forsyth, aged 31, from the Tregare, near Launceston.
