On Friday, December 18, on the last day of term, Budehaven Community School students raised £907.27 for Bude Surf Life Saving Club (BSLSC) by having a non-uniform day.

As a school, listening to many stories about local charities struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic, they wanted to help a charity at the heart of the community. With the Christmas Day swim being cancelled in 2020, which normally raises a large amount of money for BSLSC, the school decided to donate the funds to them.

A spokesperson from the school said: “Thank you to all Budehaven families for their generosity at a time when everyone is facing their own challenges.”
