A GROUP of Year 9 girls at Sir James Smith's Community School have proved themselves county champions in a Cornwall-wide humanities competition.

The contest encouraged students to select their own 'Seven Wonders of Cornwall'; sites they believed should prove to be the highlights of any visit to the county.

After the selection they had to present their ideas using skills they had acquired, and learnt, from their Key Stage 3 Geography, History and RE lessons.
