LAUNCESTON artist Rebecca Harris will be creating a major new piece of artwork as part of the Eden Project's new permanent exhibition, entitled 'Invisible You: The Human Microbiome'.
The exhibition, supported by the Wellcome Trust, examines how our bodies are part of an ecosystem.
Rebecca's work represents how we are sterile in the womb and acquire our microbiome following birth, which in turn helps to form and protect us.
The work takes the form of a hand and machine embroidered textile wall hanging representing a pregnant figure and portrays the body as a microbiome and its effects on our physiology.
