THE Moorlanders MCC had another successful year at their annual Egg Run, starting the scenic route from Davidstow airfield on Easter Sunday.

Moorlanders MCC, based on Bodmin Moor, hold the Egg Run each Easter Sunday, in association with Widows Sons South West Chapter. On Sunday, April 16, yet another Egg Run was held and was an ‘outstanding success’, with around 1,000 people heading to Davidstow airfield for the start of the event.

Praised for being well organised and marshalled, the Egg Run raised £5,000 in total for local children’s charities.

The Egg Run leads participating bikers through a scenic route from Davidstow airfield, down to Golitha Falls and then up past Colliford Lake and on to Polyphant. There, Bowden Derra Park hosted an enjoyable end event, with live music, a barbeque and stalls, raising £500 to add to the total.

Moorlanders MCC is a small, local club that successfully holds this large event each year.
