THE White Hart Hotel, Launceston, was sold prior to its auction date and is expected to re-open.

It had been due to go under the hammer with Allsop on May 31 at a guide price of £325,000.

On Monday, May 28, the lot had been showing as ‘sold prior’ online, but this has since changed to ‘removed’.

The PR firm that had issued details of the auction on behalf of Allsop told the Post it ‘can’t comment on the details of the sale’.

On Facebook, the White Hart Hotel’s Facebook page shows a post stating it is ‘opening soon under new ownership’.
