MORE than 20 people braved a challenge to walk over hot coals reaching temperatures as high as 1,200C on Saturday, for the MS Society.

The firewalk, held at Bowood in Camelford, attracted around 100 people who witnessed 24 individuals walk bare-footed along a 20ft path of coals.

A two-hour safety talk was given beforehand and participants learned that the challenge is largely down to 'mind over matter'.

Following the firewalk a sponsored head shave and leg wax was held, along with a prize draw and music from Josh Curnow.
