RAISING a total of £400 was an excellent result for the St Breward Church’s annual hot chocolate morning, and a just reward for the tremendous effort put in by so many people.
This time, in addition to the usual stalls, there was a chocolate tombola, which proved popular, and without a doubt will be repeated next year.
The puzzle stall also took place again, and may become a regular feature following this year’s success.
The bric-a-brac stall was stacked with new and useful items and did good trade, with the raffle having many excellent prizes — with lots of chocolate of course!
The kitchen was serving hot chocolate and chocolate cake, living up to the theme for the morning.
Finally, the cake stall also majored on chocolate but there were a plethora of other goodies to buy too.
Caroline Hooper, events co-ordinator for the church, said: “Phew, what a lot of chocolate! A big thank you to all the helpers, donors and, of course, those who attended.”
