TWO ladies from Holsworthy took on the Ruby Run recently in aid of their local hospice.

Donna Plumb and Joanne Cumming from the BP/M&S Simply Food store in Holsworthy walked the Ruby Run half marathon challenge and raised a fantastic £359.45 for The Long House, North Devon Hospice’s outreach centre in Holsworthy.

Community and events fundraiser for North Devon Hospice Jess Burford was delighted to receive a cheque from them. She said: “Huge thanks and congratulations to the ladies for taking on 13 miles and raising vital funds and thanks to everyone who supported them. This fantastic amount that Jo and Donna raised will help local people facing life-limiting illnesses like some cancers, Motor Neurone Disease and heart and liver failure.”
