A HORSE found in a swimming pool was rescued by firefighters at the weekend.
Crews from Wadebridge, Bodmin and St Austell were called to St Mabyn at around 1.20pm on Sunday (February 5).
The five-year-old 14.2hh Connemara horse, called ‘Candy’, had become stuck in a swimming pool measuring 5 x 4 metres and was 1.5 metres deep
Firefighters looped a strop around the back end of the animal, and using a halter, they encouraged Candy out of the pool pulling on both the halter and strop. Candy was returned unhurt to her owners.
