SPECIAL Constables from Holsworthy and Camelford have received awards for long service and good conduct. Special Constables Steve Bailey and Lynn Crockford were among four who received awards at a ceremony in Saltash on July 29. Steve joined the Special Constabulary on September 7 1993 and has worked his entire service in the Holsworthy section. He also works as an agricultural contractor between driving a school bus twice a day. Steve expressed thanks to his wife and family, whom he said over the years have had to deal with him putting duty before family on numerous occasions. His citation read that he is an enthusiastic, committed member of the Holsworthy section, where he is well known and held in high regard, and will continue to serve the force and community in the very best traditions of the Special Constabulary.
