Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, creator of ‘The Black Farmer’ brand and Launceston-based businessman, has been presented with an honorary degree by Writtle University College.

The award celebrates Wilfred’s impressive contributions to the agricultural sector. He said: “It is such an honour to have my work recognised in this way. It is my mission to encourage more youth and diversity into farming and agriculture, so to be able to work with Writtle University College on these initiatives is tremendously exciting.”

At the age of 40, Wilfred fulfilled a life-long dream when he purchased a small farm on Devon/Cornwall border in St Giles on the Heath. His products offer ‘flavour without frontiers’ and include meat, drinks, deli and barbecue items and much more.
