LOCAL talent was again on stage at Launceston Town Hall stage last week as Launceston Amateur Dramatics Society (LADS) performed Babes in the Woods, written and directed by Nigel Crabb.
As an ardent fan of pantomime avoidance, it was with no great passion I made to my seat, but the same cannot be said of the town, as there was barely an empty chair for the third night of the production.
The hall acoustics were as pleasant as ever, and reflected the hard work of the band playing behind hidden screens. Throughout the evening the band, led by musical director Rob Parkin, integrated with the pantomime with ease, never faltering, even as they too became part of the script.
