HOMELEIGH Hair and Beauty and SW Podiatry have taken part in the Pretty Muddy 5k Race for Life!

A Homeleigh spokesperson said: “We all feel like this is such a worthy cause and think everyone can agree that cancer has touched each and every one of us in some way or another, so that being said we hung up the hairdryers for the day and headed to Plymouth Central Park to get down and dirty (literally).

“We are extremely proud to announce we have raised a grand total of £1,545 and would like to thank everyone who donated to this worthwhile cause.

“Did you know that in North Cornwall alone there are around 3,700 cancer cases in just one year, with 1,600 resulting in fatalities? Cancer is happening right now all around us, and it’s time that changed. Over the last 40 years cancer survival rates have doubled, with two out of four patients surviving. So with all of our donations going towards vital research, we are fighting back!”
