THE continued and expanding success of the Free Range Kids Home Education group has parents from across the South West taking notice.
With around 50,000 children across the UK now being taught outside of the national curriculum, two local mums are offering a viable alternative to the traditional school education.
Established just under three years ago under the tutelage of Lynn Green and Sara Fox at Holsworthy Children's Centre, over 30 youngsters from across Cornwall and Devon have been welcomed to the group since its creation, which was the first to be set up in North Cornwall — the nearest located at Bodmin. Its popularity amongst families looking for an education tailored more towards their personal needs grew impressively as word got round, and it wasn't long before the group became too big for its venue.
