COOMBE Trenchard is welcoming back Children’s Hospice South West for the biennial Home and Garden Show.

Children’s Hospice South West looks after children with life limiting illnesses, and will be raising awareness about this very special cause at the event.

Their area, on the Edwardian games lawn, will be themed around the charity’s 25th anniversary which is being celebrated throughout 2016.

To celebrate this, there will be a Silver Tea Party with strawberries and elderflower punch to buy, a vintage sweet shop, toy tombola, and a messy play creative area. There will also be croquet matches and Edwardian games for everyone to join it with.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday (June 4 and 5), this year’s Show promises to be the best yet, offering the opportunity to enjoy far reaching views of Dartmoor from the historic grounds of Coombe Trenchard, whilst sampling the unique talent the South West has to offer.

Specialist plant growers, artisan and vintage home and garden wares will be available to enjoy, as well as delicious local produce.

Sarah Marsh, owner of Coombe Trenchard, said: “We are proud to be involved with this truly inspirational charity who do so much to support families in the local area. We are really looking forward to having Children’s Hospice South West with us again this year.”

General admission is £5, and is free for under 14s. Dogs on leads are welcome.
