DEVON Youth Centre in Holsworthy has landed a £3,000 grant to help refurbish its kitchen and coffee bar.
The money is part of £15,000 in grants for local youth groups awarded by Torridge District Council's Community and Resources Committee.
The money for the centre — part of Devon Youth Service — will help replace the currrent outdated facilities.
The aim of the new facilities will be to help promote new cooking projects, life skills training, and provide a central contact point for youth workers to engage with young people.
The money comes from the Youth Initiatives Budget, launched in May with a remit to support young people aged between 10 – 19 years on a variety of projects.
