Last week 36 shops and businesses in Holsworthy took part in a window dressing competition organised during carnival week by the Chamber of Trade.

The winner was the North Devon Hospice shop and on Saturday morning the Mayor of Holsworthy, Cllr David Smith, presented the shield to Shirley Barribal.

The judges were Anna Marshall and Wendy Henry. Wroes came second and the GSD charity shop third. Highly commended were the Kard Kabin, Two Peas In A Pod and Southbourne Catering.
