Holsworthy summer sports and activities
There are still places left on the Torridge Summer Culture and Leisure Holiday Programme in Holsworthy — so hurry up and book your event now!
Starting on August 10 at Holsworthy Leisure Centre and the secondary school, there will be some great activities for kids aged eight to 16 this summer.
Trampoling, roller-skating, canoeing, den-building and badminton are a few of the activities available in Holsworthy. And best of all — some of them are free! Did you know you could also get working family tax credit giving you great discounts on some of the other courses as well?
Not only that — for people living in Bridgerule, Bradworthy, Putford, Sutcombe, Bradford, Black Torrington, Highhampton, Halwill, Ashwater, Broadwoodwidger, St Giles-on-the-Heath and Clawton there is a free bus laid on to get you to some of the events and back.
And don't forget their sports coaches will be secretly working undercover to find those participants that excel within their programme for a special presentation evening in the new year.
Courses will be running in Holsworthy from August 10 to 26. Anyone wishing to book onto a course or requiring more information should contact the Culture and Leisure Team on 01237 428737 or look on their website http://www.torridge.gov">www.torridge.gov .uk for a brochure and full activity listing.
