THE manager of the GSD 2000 charity shop in Holsworthy, will be setting off tomorrow (Friday) on a 2,000 mile motorbike ride to raise funds for the charity.
Janet Watson and her husband Pete will be riding from the shop to Lands End where they will then travel up to John O'Groats before returning back to Lands End, a journey of approximately 2,000 miles. They hope to complete their journey by July 4.
The couple are collecting sponsorship and all the money raised will go to the GSD charity, which rescues and re-homes German Shepherd dogs.
Janet said: "We've got a lot of dogs that need re-homing and we were trying to think of different ways to raise extra cash and my husband suggested a charity bike ride."
Mr and Mrs Watson belong to the Devon and Cornwall Honda Goldwings Club and have taken part in several charity rides.
If anyone would like to sponsor Janet and Pete please pop into the GSD charity shop in the Square Holsworthy or call 01409 254279.
