AFTER securing funding from the Big Lottery a charity transport group from Holsworthy are now looking to spend that money employing a new ‘Community Development Worker’.

Holsworthy Rural Community Transport successfully received funding to hire a community development worker to help promote and build the transport service — which offers aid to 28 parishes in Torridge.

The vacancy requires a self-motivated and experience individual who can help promote and build the transport service. They are looking for someone based in Holsworthy who can dedicate 18.5 hours per week to the charity and is able to work closely with and report to the chairman of trustees.

This is an ambassadorial role, which is key to the successful development and implementation of Holsworthy Rural Community Transport’s marketing strategy.

They hope the community development worker will be able to increase awareness of their services and develop generic publicity materials, which can be used to increase the number of people using the services.
