HOLSWORTHY returned to the medieval days recently, as the town council put on a themed market.

The event coincided with St Peter's Fair week and received a positive response from traders and residents who donned their fancy dress costumes and decorated their shop windows.

Organiser of the event, Cllr Zowie Brooks commented: "It was a really community filled day, everyone pulled together considering the lashing rain in the early morning. Having male facial hair for the day was an experience.
