CONCERNED residents of a Holsworthy housing estate have signed a petition in favour of parking measures on a road which they feel has become dangerous, writes Amelia Chubb.
An accident is waiting to happen say residents of the Glebelands and Glebe Meadow, as cars parked along sides of the roads on the estate are a hazard to children and road users.
John Westaway brought the problem to the town council's attention at the meeting on Wednesday, March 7.
The cars parked by individuals include a number of people who work in the town, from around 9am until 5pm and is on a daily basis, he said on behalf of the residents.
Cars are also parking on a sharp corner in the Glebelands/Croft Road perimeter, which obscures the visibility for drivers.
"There have been a number of near misses on that corner," Mr Westaway stressed. "It is a miracle there has been no accident."
