THE Old Market Inn in Holsworthy, has won the CAMRA North Devon Branch, Pub of The Year for the third year running. This is not only a milestone for the local Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) branch but it is also believed to set a national record.
"We are absolutely delighted to win this highly competitive award for the third year in a row," says Lee Sycamore, landlord of the Old Market Inn.
"The decision by our local CAMRA members is especially rewarding considering the large number of high quality pubs in the North Devon region, one of the largest in the UK."
The Pub of The Year is chosen by branch members from a short list of 30 pubs from the region. The North Devon region covers an area east from the River Tamar, to Ilfracombe in the north, down to the A30 in the south.
