Holsworthy Pre-School Playgroup celebrated 30 years of being in its own building on Saturday, July 17. Lots of fun and reminiscing was had at the open afternoon.

Play leaders, trustees and children past and present enjoyed looking at photo boards that displayed pictures from when the building was first being developed to its completed stages.

The playgroup was initially started 44 years ago and held in the Rectory, however after some land was kindly donated by the Rowland family and hours of fundraising, Holsworthy Pre-School Playgroup was able to have its own building.

Cream teas, ice creams and refreshments, provided by Waitrose, were enjoyed by all. A thank you note was read out and playgroup chairman, Mel Allcorn, gave a speech.

Secretary, Rachael Brown, said a lovely day was had. "The weather was kind and we were really lucky to be able to hold it outdoors. I also got to see my nursery teachers again." The pre-school playgroup staff have expressed their thanks to everyone who has been involved over the past 30 years with the group.
