THE Environment Agency is investigating a pollution incident near Holsworthy after residents reported that a stream which runs alongside by the town's biogas plant had turned an orange/brown colour, writes Robyn Johns. A spokesman for the Environment Agency said their officers had visited the site and carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment of the stream, a tributary to the River Deer. The water had turned an orange/brown colour and had fungus growing on the stream bed, he said.  "We're looking to trace the source of the material and will be carrying out further checks and tests."
