A HOLSWORTHY man has benefitted from new equipment issued as part of a new service to support people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Local GPs, NHS Devon and the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust are launching Telehealth, a remote support service, for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in North Devon.
Telehealth is used across the NHS to monitor and manage people's conditions remotely, and it enables the community respiratory nursing teams to provide treatment and care to patients at home. Patients with a long-term condition take their daily health readings, such as oxygen levels, and transmit them to a clinician.
