THE Holsworthy Beavers took part in ‘Clean for the Queen 2016’, an initiative set up to clean our country for the Queens 90th birthday celebrations.
On Friday, June 10, the Beavers picked up litter around Holsworthy and were then awarded a ‘I cleaned for the Queen 2016’ badge on Friday, July 15, for their hard work.
The badges were presented by Jon Hutchings, mayor of Holsworthy, at the 1st Holsworthy Scout Group’s end of term event.
Cllr Hutchings said: “It’s so important to get youngsters involved in our town. I was very proud to present badges to the young Beavers. I hope this encourages others to help keep our town tidy.”
