ALL roads led to Holsworthy recently for some 400 disabled people from Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.
They came with 194 helpers from as far away as Weston-super-Mare, Paignton and Newquay to a fun day specially organised for them by Holsworthy Lions Club, with the support of 15 south west area Lions Clubs.
The event took place in the Manor Car Park and in the Memorial Hall where Lions Club members, their wives and partners as well as the Portreeve, the Deputy Mayor, Pretty Maid and the Town Crier were there to welcome them and ensure they had an enjoyable time.
The event started in 1992 and was so successful that it has been repeated annually ever since except for the two years, when the refurbishment of the Memorial Hall was taking place.
