Holsworthy Town Council is inviting
residents of the town and the surrounding parishes to send in nominations for the title of Honorary Freeman of Holsworthy.
This civic honour will be awarded to an individual who resides in the area and has served Holsworthy and its people through personal good deeds or as part of a larger organisation, making a real and tangible contribution to the life and essence of the town.
The award was established four years ago and last year's recipient was Crispin King. This year it will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting to be held in the Market Hall at 7pm on April 16.
The winner will hold the title for a year and receive the Honorary Freeman's Silver Cup, a framed
certificate, an invitation to join the Mayor with
partner or spouse at the Court Leet meeting during St Peter's Fair week and an invitation to the civic lunch on the following day.
A nomination form can be found at the back of the spring edition of the Holsworthy Town Newsletter and must be sent or handed into the Town Clerk's office by Wednesday, March 25.
