THE official opening of the Holsworthy Pop-in Centre and Satellite Foodbank took place on Wednesday, March 7 at the Manor Suite in Holsworthy Memorial Hall. The Mayor, two district councillors and several members of the clergy were amongst the large group of people who were present to see Betty Oke cut a ribbon for the ceremonial opening and to listen to her and Pat Knight from the New Life Centre in Bude, talk about the need for a foodbank in Holsworthy. Grateful thanks were expressed to Councillors Howard Ratledge and Michael Footitt and James Rowland representing the Balsdon Trust for the grants made to the project.
