HOLSWORTHY Firefighters took part in their yearly sponsored car wash at Cornwall Farmers in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity on Sunday, September 25. Within three and a half hours they raised a top total of £147.75 from customer donations, which will be donated to the cause. Retained firefighter Craig Darby, who also works at Cornwall Farmers, commented: "It was a brilliant day, a bit of fun for a good cause." Holsworthy Fire Brigade has extended its thanks to Cornwall Farmers for its support and allowing them to use the facilities for the event, but also for letting the team use its outbuildings for training purposes and firefighter events. The brigade is grateful to the company for backing retained firefighters.
