AT the Holsworthy Town Council meeting held on January 13, the council signed and agreed the contract for the transfer of the strip of land at Parsons Close, Holsworthy.

The town clerk, Clare Dalley, said: "The council used to own the land many years ago, however, it was sold to a resident at Badock. They approached the council and wondered if we would take it back.

"The strip of land is located down from Badock Gardens, it is parallel to the bank where the boundary lies."

Clare told the 'Post': "The council have taken the piece of land and plan to make it a nice area and look good."
