Four­­teen year old Samantha Lock recently entered The Zone's competition to design a musical instrument. The Zone is Devon Libraries interactive website for children. The site includes information about the library, how to join, books, puzzles, games and articles from well known authors. M@x is the library cyber dog who 'hosts' The Zone and encourages children to join the library. Samantha's instrument the 'Eco-horn' won first prize in Devon and she was presented with a M@x goody bag by Jean Frayn.
