PLANS are being made for Holsworthy Community College and six of its feeder primary schools at Bradford, Bridgerule, Highampton, West and East Putford, Pyworthy and Sutcombe to work more closely together by forming a federation.
With falling rolls and tighter budgets it is hoped that the federation will provide safety in numbers for both the community college and primary schools. For years Devon has been one of the worst funded education authorities in the country with each pupil getting £400 less than the national average.
