THE people of Holsworthy were treated to a highly enjoyable programme of events to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Over £160 was raised on Sunday (June 3) at the Mayor's coffee morning in the Memorial Hall, which saw a steady flow of people through the doors.
Later in the day, 500 cyclists on the Devon Coast to Coast Cycling Challenge stopped off in the town for lunch. During the evening, in the Memorial Hall car park, despite the indifferent weather, nearly 1,000 people went along to the 'Big Jubilee Bash' with entertainment provided by 'The Tribute Show', performing pop and rock legends.
