Holsworthy had a very successful carnival in November, despite the weather and rumours about the carnival being cancelled. The carnival committee recently presented cheques to: Holsworthy Town Band, £50; Holsworthy Majorettes, £25; SLS Allstars Majorettes, £25; Bodmin Street Chapel, £100; Holworthy Scout and Guide headquarters, £100; St John's Garage Fund, £100; Devon Fire and Rescue Service, £50 and police, £50. The committee have expressed thanks to everyone who helped on the day and they hope that 2010 will be another success.
