CADETS from the Holsworthy Detachment of Devon Army Cadet Force are celebrating a kit windfall following successful grant applications made by their adult instructors.
The detachment has been able to purchase enough kit to equip eight cadets participating in expeditions as part of both ACF and Duke of Edinburgh's Award training.
The grants were received from Holsworthy Waitrose, Holsworthy Town Council and Cllr Barry Parsons (Leader of Torridge District Council).
Sleeping bags, waterproofs, rucksacks and cookers were purchased. The detachment also received two three man tents from headquarters as part of The Guardsman Chris King Memorial Fund.
