HOLSWORTHY Beavers visited the town's police station to learn about the duties of police officers as part of the Beaver Scout safety badge last Friday (January 21). Whilst learning about the area that the local police cover, their observation skills were tested. When an actual robbery took place (staged by the police) from a treasure chest placed in the room, Beavers were asked to give details of what they saw and detected who the robber was. The Beavers then made an arrest and went to the fingerprint room where they took each others fingerprints. They then went outside to look at the vehicles and took it in turns to be locked inside the police van. Everyone had a fantastic time and the Beavers have expressed their thanks to the police officers on duty who made the visit such fun. Whilst on the visit, Leaders also presented the Beavers with a special badge to commemorate 25 years of Beaver Scouting.
