SEVENTY four Launceston Seniors took part in a 3 man competition on Tuesday January 11 with 2 scores to count off 7/8th handicap.
On what was the best day of the week for weather good scores were achieved and 15 2's recorded, of these 2 were in fact awarded to Roger Slee for his 'Hole in One' on the 17th arguably the most difficult of the par 3's.
He would probably preferred to have done it on a Thursday where the rules of the 'Roll Up' give all the balls to a hole in one player, as it was 2's counted for only 2 balls each.
Third prize was won with the help of a Wild Card which was Captain Tim's and he decided to give his 3rd of 3rd prize to his Charity.
Results: 1st, Peter Fisher, Peter Lyons, Brian Ben-David 80; 2nd, John Haywood, Pat Hayne, Cliff Sargent 80; 3rd, Francis Griffiths, Dave Reynolds, 'Wild Card' 79.
