WEEK St Mary were back in goal scoring form after their recent goal drought with an excellent team performance earning them an emphatic win against visiting Delabole Utd, writes Chris Warneford.
A seemingly rejuvenated Week got off to a flying start with two great strikes by Rob Pearce inside the first ten minutes.
They continued to push forward moving the ball well and doubled their lead after 35 minutes scoring two in quick succession through Nigel Barriball and Steve Short. Olly Ubley pulled one back for the visitors five minutes before the break to make it 4-1.
The hosts continued the pressure in the second half with the Delabole defence forced to clear several shots off the line but against the run of play Josh Bluett made it 4-2 in the 67th minute.
A converted spot kick by Wayne Hannaford for Week and a goal by Karl Elliot for the visitors made it 5-3 but the result never looked in in doubt as Rob Hambly and Wayne Hannaford wrapped up the scoring for the home side in the last five minutes.
