A HOLSWORTHY musician is hoping to emulate his favourite artistes and kick-start a career in hip-hop through the Open Mic Unsigned UK competition.

Hip-hop music has always been a massive passion of Reece 'Twiggy' Luscombe, 19 — he has already produced three albums and writes all his own lyrics — so the decision to enter the national contest was the natural one to take, according to his parents Heidi and Jayson.

They said: "Every waking moment is dedicated to hip-hop, so to enter the Open Mic Unsigned UK auditions, and have his hard-work and dedication recognised made sense."
