PYWORTHY Primary School held its leavers service in church on Thursday, July 19 when they said a sad farewell to eleven leavers.
Each one gave a farewell speech about what they had done for the previous seven years, the places they had visited, and what they would miss about the teachers who had taught them such a variety of talents from sport to drama and art to how to make a go-cart.
The headmistress handed out presents to all leavers and prizes to a number of them.
The were: Sporting trophy — Holly Martin; Most improved in Sport — Ellie Burnard; Football — Oliver Moores; Top goalscorer — Sam Jago; Netball Player of the Year — Georgina Moores; Trophy for Academic achievement — Hattie Oliver; Effort and Perseverance — Kieran Langman; and a Trophy for Manners — Leyton Ratledge.
