BUDE-STRATTON Town Council's planning committee has welcomed an application that will see hedgerow removed in advance of the construction of a roundabout in Stratton.
If approved by Cornwall Council, the removal of the hedging, 48-metres in length, on land north of Channel View, Stratton Road, will mark the start of developments that will see the existing T-junction replaced by a roundabout.
Cllr Lea Deely said: "It's the first visible sign that the roundabout is going to be built, the first concrete sign."
Cllrs Deely, Ian Hemming, Brian Dixon and Lesley Moores — present, though not on the committee — also said they hoped the roundabout would be in place before the summer.
