HOLSWORTHY Primary School recently held their Healthy Eating Day .

The school has decided this year to focus on healthy eating and are teaching the children the importance of a balanced diet.

The Healthy Eating Day gave pupils the opportunity to prepare a healthy lunch for their parents. Each class had a budget to purchase and prepare lunch.

During the afternoon there were also healthy packed lunch food demonstrations from Dez Turland from the Brend Hotels Group, Paul Leaky from the Carlyon Bay Hotel, St Austell and a number of local food outlets who were keen to show off their healthy lunch box choices, including Waitrose.

There was also an opportunity to sample exotic fruit and vegetables.
