FOUR ‘Golden Girls’ of Exercising for Mobility, a chair-based exercise group in Bude, have received recognition for 100 attendances to the weekly classes.
Exercising for Mobility encourages regular attendance by giving bronze, silver and gold certificates for 25, 50 and 100 attendances respectively. They have recently announced their first four gold certificate awards. Named the Golden Girls, Shirley Mason, Gay Truswell, Joy Greaves and Brenda Tyson have all achieved 100 attendances and are still going strong!
Exercising For Mobility offers free chair-based exercise classes two days a week in the Parkhouse Centre, Bude. The classes are great for everyone but especially for senior citizens and those with a physical condition which restricts possibilities for exercise. The classes are National Lottery funded, which covers refreshments, and their ‘family’ is growing all the time.
