THE Tesco community champion for Launceston has supported the teams giving out COVID-19 vaccinations in the local area by providing them with much needed refreshments.

Shelley Vanstone wanted to get involved and help out. She contacted the teams administering vaccinations at Millennium House in Pensilva and from Launceston College’s Sports Hall to see if they could benefit from some refreshments. The teams were thrilled and grateful for Shelley’s support.

Shelley said: “The teams at both centres have been doing an amazing job in getting the vaccines out so quickly and I thought it would be nice to show our appreciation of their efforts, so I contacted them to see if they would like a donation of some refreshments. The volunteers and medical staff at both centres were very grateful.”
