HOLSWORTHY Community College Headteacher, David Fitzsimmons, has confirmed that seven teachers will no longer work at the school.
Last week the 'Post' reported that there would be staff cuts at the school, as a result of the falling roll, removal of small school protection funding and loss of Special Educational Needs funding. Mr Fitzsimmons told the 'Post' the school would be in a six-figure deficit if the cuts were not made.
In a school newsletter sent out to parents last week, Mr Fitzsimmons said: 'As well as these changes a number of teachers including part-time employees are leaving as a result of the need to reduce the number of teaching staff. Confidentiality prevents me from providing further information.'
