STUDENTS at Budehaven Community School are celebrating as the school once again achieved excellent Year 13 A level and BTEC results.

With a pass rate of 97 per cent, the school is delighted that 24 per cent of results are A* and A grades, and 51 per cent are graded B or higher.

Headteacher, David Barton, said: "I commented last year that competition for university places is getting tougher each year, and that remains as true today as it did 12 months ago.

"We are thrilled that very nearly a quarter of our results are A*s and As, but equally pleasing is the fact that very nearly three quarters, 74 per cent, of all the grades awarded are grade C and above."
