HATTIE Oliver from Pyworthy Primary School has been awarded a top prize in the South West region in Royal Mail's Young Letter Writer competition.
The theme for this year's competition was children's favourite books — a subject celebrated by Royal Mail through a set of stamps featuring AA Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh in October, 2010.
The competition aims to recognise the nation's best young letter writers and encourage children to be creative through letter writing.
